Epistolarum ad familiares libri XVI. Ad optimas editiones collati. Amsterdam, Jean Jansson, 1645. Small in-12, red morocco, lace framed with a garland motif in the corners, coat of arms in the center, smooth spine decorated, green title page, inner scroll, lining and endpapers of blue tabis, gilt edges (18th century binding). Beautiful 18th century lace binding, with the coat of arms of Charles Guillaume Le Normand d'Étiolles who married in 1741 Jeanne-Antoinette Poisson, future marquise de Pompadour. Handwritten bookplate dated 1665 on the title and at the end: Ludovicum Bailly. Copy cited by Olivier, pl. 1562; it comes from the Charles Van der Elst library (I, 1985, n°55).
