Crosseron in carved ivory with stained parts. On one side, the Virgin and Child surrounded by two cerulean angels; on the reverse, the Crucifixion accompanied by the Virgin and Saint John; surround with leaf cut out at the base, hooks and flowers on the perimeter. Beautiful deep and orange patina. Second half of the 14th century Height : 13,3 cm - Width : 11,7 cm Plinth (fragment, missing around the rim) Provenance : Former Annette Kann /Michel Maurice-Bokanowski Collection, given about fifteen years ago to the father of the present owner. A very similar crosser is in the British Museum; it is given as French and dating from 1350 - 1400 (inv.1856, 1218.1, fig.)
