Polychrome painted enamel plate with gold highlights representing The Deploration of Christ after the Little Passion by Albrecht Dürer, circa 1509-1510 (fig.). Counter-glaze in a salmon-colored background. At the foot of the cross, Joseph of Arimathea supports the body of Christ lying in a shroud, Nicodemus behind him; on the left, the Virgin, St. John and a holy woman raising her arms in a gesture of desolation; Mary Magdalene kneels at the feet of Christ. Limoges, mid 16th century Height: 17,1 cm - Width: 13,5 cm In a brass and wood frame covered with red velvet.
