A Narrative of the French Expedition to Danzig in 1734. Edinburgh, 1831. 2 parts in one volume in-4, fir green paper boards, untrimmed (publisher's binding). Edition of only 62 copies, printed from a manuscript that belonged to Lefèvre d'Ormesson. There is, after a long preface, a second title, engraved, entitled Voyage des troupes françaises en Pologne, par le Chevalier de Boëncourt, enseigne d'infanterie au régiment de Blaisois, with the address Édimbourg, Alexandre Henderson, 1830. One of the 30 copies sent to Paris by Panckoucke, this one numbered by the publisher (n°5) and bearing a consignment from Panckoucke to his dear friend Haugk: Ferdinand Haugk, bookseller born around 1783 near Leipzig, was Panckoucke's first clerk and then became administrator of the Panckoucke establishments. Hinges cracked, covers damaged and corners crushed.
