This collection gathers texts from the dinners of the "Société du Bout-du-Banc", a salon orchestrated by the actress Jeanne-Françoise Quinault-Dufresne, known as Quinault cadette, and the count of Caylus. The texts, all anonymous, are attributed to Bernis, Caylus, Collé, Crébillon fils, Duclos, Maurepas, Marivaux, Moncrif, Voisenon, Mme Graffigny, etc.
