LEROY, No. 681 Milieu XXe siècle Marine chronometer manufactured for the Compagnie Générale de la Transatlantique. Case with multi-level wooden compartments, one visible glass side. Inside, the clock is mounted on movable gilded brass gimbals, a fixed attachment on the side, key for winding the mechanism in its case. Silvered dial with Roman numerals and railroad minute track, double signature "Leroy" and "Compagnie Générale de la Transatlantique", power reserve indication, inscriptions in Japanese characters. Gilt brass movement with key winding, special counterweight balance wheel, helical hairspring, spindle and chain, detent escapement, the plate decorated with stylized motifs. H. 18 cm - W. 18 cm - D. 18 cm Sold as is, traces of wear, movement does not work, need to be completely refurbished and overhauled, no guarantee of working order.
