The Bohemians Brussels tapestry 18th century, circa 1725 In the style of David Téniers le jeune (1610-1690) H. 3.19 x W. 2.43 m H. 10ft 5 ½ x W. 7ft 11 Description: Several characters evolve in the composition: on the right, a gypsy woman reads palm lines to a peasant and thus diverts his attention, while a young boy rummages in his pocket. Four other women enliven the composition, one of whom, on the left, holds a child in her arms. The tapestry is framed by a beautiful border (original) in the imitation of an elaborate frame.
