Zande Drum Wood L. 65 cm Provenance: Sotheby's Paris, June 3, 2019, no. 91 Private collection (Belgium) Rare slotted drum whose shape evokes the silhouette of traditional houses in the Uele region of northern Congo. The two grips on the side evoke stylized buffalo heads. A comparable example is in the Musée de la Musique in Paris.
