Just after the Great War, rare autograph letter signed by Igor Stravinsky, then at the turning point between L'Histoire du soldat and Pulcinella, about his pre-war compositions, citing his current publisher in London (Kling) and mentioning a biography of himself by Ernest Ansermet.
Igor Stravinsky (1882-1971) was always close to writers, particularly Charles-Ferdinand Ramuz in the period immediately following the premiere of L'Histoire du soldat in 1918 in Lausanne under the musical direction of Ernest Ansermet. Stravinsky's untyped letters are extremely rare.
