Shepherdess was, without a doubt, spinning with a dreamy, white hand the threads fallen from heaven and the rays between the branches, at the same time, towards the preslaie, as her milk-colored wool ;
Shepherdess was, serious and serene, whistling among her milk teeth pretty sirventes and sweet lais to fairies, to the Virgin, to queens, shepherdess and spinning her distaff in her beak, to the round eyes of frogs. P.F.
Printemps de 1924 Paris.
Beautiful text on Joan of Arc "through the French Ballads", L'Exemple de Jeanne preceding Cri de Guerre, then Jeanne passant à Blois, La Bataille de Patay, Les Beaux Jours de France, and Honneur à Jeanne sur toutes les Dames.
