PRINTING: one of the few copies printed on very fine laid paper, according to a remark by Brunet, who says "l'ouvrage devenu rare, l'édition ayant été en partie détruite". COLLATION: 3 ff. n. o.c., 307-218 pp. and [6] ff. n. o.c. privilege and tables ILLUSTRATION: frontispiece and 16 plates drawn and engraved by Nicolas Ransonnette, ordinary engraver to the Duc d'Orléans, including two plans and several folding plates, for a total of 17 plates. ANNOTATION: handwritten note in red ink suggesting a form of alphabetical codification, p. 8 CONTEMPORARY BINDING SIGNED BY BOZERIAN. Red morocco, gilt decoration, framing roulette, highly ornate gilt ribbed spine, gilt edges.
