Pauline Bonaparte (1780-1825) married Prince Camille Borghese for the second time on November 6, 1803. The opening of the Galerie des Antiques followed the arrival of masterpieces such as the Venus de Medici, the Laocoon and the Apollo du Belvedere. It was Jean-Arnaud Raymond (1742-188) who transformed the former apartments of Anne of Austria for this purpose.
