Yoruba mirror box - Lot 55
Yoruba mirror box Nigeria Wood, glass H. 30 cm Beautiful mirror box, the serrated frame decorated with interlacing and snakes, with a carved quadruped at the top. The small door, engraved with a seated figure, was once held in the center of the frame by leather hinges and opened onto a mirror that has now disappeared. The back of the box is decorated with crosshatching forming an X-shaped composition, with a human face at the top.
