Bowl with two heads Sepik, Papua New Guinea Carved wood L. 43 cm - W. 19.5 cm Provenance: - Ex Lempertz sale, A sculptor's Eye, Brussels, October 24, 2018, lot 177 - Ex European private collection, acquired at the above sale Of elongated oval form, this carved wooden bowl is decorated at both ends with animal figures in high relief. Beautiful patina attesting to the use and age of the carving. An inventory number in white ink KC-2018-PNG-III is visible under the bowl. Condition report: a few old cracks and chips on the surface of the bowl, white traces of deposits attesting to the bowl's use.
