Drum New Guinea Wood and pigments H. 79 cm This tall hourglass-shaped drum features incised geometric decoration enhanced with white and red pigments. The handle on the back appears to be an old, local replacement. The ancient patina and wear marks on the surface attest to the fact that this ceremonial drum must have been used for an extended period of time.
