Ornamentation is central to the material culture of the New Guinea Highlands. Facial paintings, ceremonial headdresses and body ornaments form a major part of the art of this Upper Sepik region. This mysterious head ornament is made from a combination of wood, fibers and feathers. Condition: A few tired links, but as used.
