Former private collection, France: according to family tradition, acquired around 1930.
Passed on by descent and remained in the family ever since.
Old and imposing "Gata" club, meaning Snake in Fijian.
This club features typical swellings on the spur, below the stylized snake's mouth.
The patina of the wood is remarkable and bears witness to its age.
