[ARTAUD Antonin] SET OF PHOTOGRAPHS ONCE BELONGING TO DOCTEUR FERDIÈRE. - Artaud as Abbé Jean Massieu in Carl Dreyer's La Passion de Jeanne d'Arc, 1927. 2 original photographs, 20.5 x 25.5 cm, mounted on cardboard, showing him haranguing the crowd and priests. - Photograph of Artaud as Marat in Abel Gance's 1927 film. 24 x 18 cm - Photograph of Artaud in Abel Gance's 1932 film Mater Dolorosa 24 x 18 cm - Photograph of Artaud in Fritz Lang's Lilium, 1934. 24 x 18 cm - 5 photographs of Artaud in envelopes bearing the name of Dr. Ferdière - La femme de Roudoudou, 2 original photographs, vintage silver prints [1943] 7 x 6.5 cm each depicting the ephemeral object erected by Antonin Artaud in October 1943 in the garden of the Rodez psychiatric hospital where he was confined. Both photographs were taken by Dr. Ferdière, and only one large-format print exists (18 x 12.5 cm, sold by us on November 17, 2023).
