One of 62 copies signed by the publisher. 16 drypoints by Louis Marcoussis preceded by a text by Gaston Bachelard, "La divination et le regard dans l'œuvre de Marcoussis". Marcoussis, who had taken refuge in Cusset, produced the 16 drypoints in 1940, but died in 1941. The edition did not see the light of day until 1946. On the page listing the engravings, 9 of the 16 titles have been annotated in pencil, specifying the identity of the persons depicted: Prf. Allendy (physician René Félix Allendy) for the plate L'astrologue, René Fleur (actor) for Les Lignes de la main, painter Pierre Roy for L'Homme qui voit dans les nuages, critic and poet Roger Lannes for Le Jeteur de dés, director Chris Marker for Le Médium, musicians Lucette and Rosette Casadesus for La boule de cristal and Le marc de café, the last plate Le numéraliste is annotated: self-portrait by Louis Marcoussis.
