Nausikaa. Translation by Leconte de Lisle. Paris, Piazza, 1899. In-4, plum half-maroquin with corners, fillet, ornate spine, gilt head, cover and spine, slipcase (Creuzevault).
The only book illustrated by Gaston de Latenay, with 50 spectacular decorative compositions arranged in diptychs, fleurons and culs-de-lampe, all wood-engraved in color by Ruckert.
The text, set in cartouches of various sizes, included in reserve in the compositions, begins with initials with a varied decorative background.
Edition of 400 copies, this one on Vosges wove paper.
A corner point of the last leaf missing for 1 cm. Jaw of the first cover restored along its entire length.
