In-4, black calf, mosaic composition of green box and gilt fillets on first board, smooth spine titled in gold, green suede lining and endpapers, gilt head, untrimmed, cover and spine, slipcase (L. R. Houades). Edition printed on papier pur chiffon du Marais watermarked with Baudelaire's signature, illustrated with 65 original etchings by Paul Lemagny. Bound by Léone-Raymonde Houades, decorated on the first cover with a composition evoking a fantastic face reminiscent of the atmosphere in Poe's Histoires extraordinaires. Spine slightly faded, with small scratch.
