Faune parisienne. Paris, Gustave Pellet, 1901. In-8, olive-green morocco, each beveled-edged plate with a large incised and painted leather, the first bearing the title, mosaic flower on the spine, interior framing decorated with a gilded fillet and a gilded puppet in each corner, pink moire lining and endpapers, gilded edges on witnesses, cover and spine, half-maroquin folder, case (Ch. Meunier 1901). 20 original etchings by Louis Legrand, of which 16 in color, including the cover, with register and doll, 4 in black, and around 50 woodcut drawings in the text by G. Lemoine. Edition of 130 copies on wove paper, this one with a suite of black etchings. Binding by Charles Meunier, decorated with two incised and painted leathers, one bearing the title, in the middle a dancer manipulating a puppet, stems of thistles on which a snake is coiled, at her feet a pink pig, on the second plate a woman talking with a parrot, evocation of the Bavardage etching. Spine faded.
