In-4, plum morocco, first cover decorated with a mosaic holly garland extending on two sides, second cover with the same composition and a mosaic mistletoe branch, mosaic title on spine, gilt edges on witnesses, cover and spine, slipcase (A. Cuzin).
Edition executed under the artistic direction of Octave Uzanne.
It features 16 wood-engraved plates in black, 32 varied monochrome frames, a different color for each tale, 15 culs-de-lampe, and a triptych frontispiece engraved in intaglio and hand-colored in watercolor, all by Georges de Feure.
Edition of 220 numbered copies on japon, including 20 copies for the author and collaborators.
Decorated binding by Adolphe Cuzin, son of the great Francisque Cuzin. After the bankruptcy of his own workshop, which he ran from 1900 to 1902, Adolphe Cuzin became a professor at the École Centrale des Arts Décoratifs from 1920 onwards, frequented by Rose Adler, Jeanne Langrand and Geneviève de Léotard, whose bindings he gilded.
