FEBRER (Mosen Jaume). Trobes, en que tracta dels llinatges de la conquista de la ciutat de Valencia é son regne. Valencia, En la Imprenta del Diari, 1796. In-4, fawn-colored basane, rectangular frame on the boards drawn by cold fillets intertwining in the corners, ornate spine, red title and green date-pieces, red edges (19th-century Spanish binding). First edition of Les Trobes (Strophes), a poem about King Jaume I's conquest of the kingdom of Valencia and the noble families who inhabited the city. It contains the Catalan text in verse, and the Spanish-language translation in prose, and is adorned with 14 copper-engraved plates depicting a total of 588 coats of arms of Valencian noble families, many of them colored. A short-margined copy, with the binder's hand touching some running titles or leaf signatures. Dedication leaf bound in the wrong place in the introductory section. Repaired transverse tear to title. Rubbing to binding.
