First edition of this famous printed herbarium.
Very fine woodcut illustration including 516 full-page plant figures, with their names in Latin and German.
Early handwritten bookplate on title. One handwritten index page mounted after the title leaf.
Incomplete with introductory leaves A2 to A4, containing the epistle to Antoine Fugger. Fold on the title with small paper losses on the edge, a few halos and small freckles. Laces renewed.
