Lettres d'une péruvienne, translated from French into Italian by M. Deodati. Paris, Chez l'Éditeur, et les principaux Libraires, De l'Imprimerie de Mignerot, 1797. Large in-8, fawn calf, gilt fillet and roulette and havana calf border, all framing a central panel of shaved calf, spine decorated with two green morocco boxes, mille point decoration around an iron partly mosaiced in red in the other two boxes, red title-pieces and tomaison, interior lace, gilt edges (Period binding). Portrait of the author engraved by Gaucher and 6 handsome figures after Le Barbier. One of the rare large paper copies, with the figures before the letter, in a rich mosaic calf binding. Some foxing. Upper hinge and head cover restored, one jaw cracked and one head cover missing.
