Paris, Delahaye, 1843. 5 parts in 3 volumes in-folio, green chagrin cloth (period binding). First edition of this major work on Algeria by General Clauzel's secretary. The text on coins is by J. Marcel, that on flora by Champy, with illustrations by Thoulet. The work includes a chromolithographed title, 2 maps, a plan and 139 lithographs with tinted or colored backgrounds, including 2 maps and 10 colored botanical plates with several subjects. Some plates a little foxed, others entirely foxed as usual.
