Posthumous work by Madame de Staël, published by Auguste de Staël and Victor de Broglie: the daughter of Necker, Louis XVI's controller of finances, recounts the events of the French Revolution, while at the same time writing a history of England. Pleasant copy in attractive contemporary binding. Some light foxing. Spine a little faded.
