Together 4 volumes in-12, fawn morocco (dark green for one volume), double cold-stamped fillet, gilded numeral at corners, ornate spine with repeated numeral at tail, interior lace, gilded edges (Vignal 1905). Collection of 4 works by Charles Wagner (1852-1918), pastor and writer born in Moselle, the first three of which are first editions. Copies bound in the cipher of Baron Fernand de Schickler (1835-1909), a banker and historian who was president of the Société d'histoire du protestantisme français, with a signed letter from the author addressed to the same in each volume. Yellowed paper. Slight bumping on one of the boards, not serious; small loss to one of the headpieces.
