In-4, cream morocco, boards framed with a trellis decoration drawn by brown morocco listels punctuated at their intersections by a small green and gold square, the central part of the first board bearing in a stylized green cartouche the title in fancy pink and red morocco capitals, The central part of the second plate bears the title in fanciful pink and red capitals in a stylized green cartouche, the central part of the second plate is in reserve, smooth muted spine decorated with the same full-length decoration, interior framing in the same morocco with reminder of the decoration and gilded fillet, fir-green moire lining and endpapers, gilded edges on witnesses, cover and spine, green half-calf folder with band and cover, case (Marot-Rodde). 40 watercolors by Pierre Laprade engraved in the text or on full pages. Edition of 501 numbered copies, plus 20 hors commerce, this being one of 41 head copies on Vidalon laid paper, including an original drawing and a black suite of engravings.
