* CHAKRASAMVARA AND VAJRAVARAHI TIBET - 15TH CENTURY Gilded and polychrome bronze The divine couple stand in dynamic yab-yum, alidhasana, trampling contorted demons. He, dressed in a beast's skin and adorned with kapala and garlands of severed heads, clasps his consort in his forearms, which also hold the vajra and ghanta. He holds other attributes and performs mudra with his twelve other hands: the ritual axe (parashu), the tambourine (damaru), the ritual knife (drigug), the trident (trishul), the cranial cup (kapala), the scepter (khatvanga), the severed heads of a demon, the gesture of threat (karana mudra).
