Rare quadripod ceramic vessel from Kütahya Siliceous paste with blue-white decoration under transparent colorless glaze Turkey, Kütahya, 18th century 6.3 x 7.5 x 7.5 cm This blue-and-white siliceous vessel features a square base resting on four feet. Under the base, two concentric circles in blue on a white background recall the interest in Chinese ceramics in the Ottoman world. The four outer sides are decorated with leaves and flowers centered on a large leaf. The central circular compartment is adorned with alternating bouquets of cypress trees, around a central medallion with vegetal decoration. A vegetal frieze decorates the upper part.
