Two cups and a zarf in Tophane Glazed earthenware painted with gold and silver Turkey, Istanbul, Tophane, 19th century Large cup: D. 8 cm - Large saucer: D. 9.9 cm Small cup: D. 5.5 cm - Small saucer: D. 8.9 cm Zarf : H.5,4 cm (Some wear) This group of Tophane pieces consists of two cups and saucers with engraved decor of calligraphy, tughras, crescents and palmettes enhanced with gold and silver. The zarf is decorated with two beaded friezes in relief on the foot and lip, as well as a calligraphic frieze and a frieze of plant motifs on the body.
