Meerschaum pipe bowl Meerschaum, silver Vienna, second half of the 18th century L. 18 cm The high-relief silver head at the end of the bowl represents Kara Mustafa Pasha, who was beheaded in Belgrade following his defeat in Vienna. The meerschaum stove is decorated with battle scenes, probably from the capture of Vienna, with the Austrian royal coat of arms. The lower part features a knight in armor holding a spear, against a background of beams. The piece comes with its original velvet-covered leather case.
