Bronze oil lamp. Body in the shape of a woman's head with hair treated in parallel strands, hairline, eyebrows, eyelids and upper lip outlined with parallel lines, double scroll handle with a bird at the curved end; reservoir cover in the hairline and foot pierced to accommodate a support rod. Italy, Rome, 4th/6th century H. 8.8 cm - L. 18 cm (minor casting damage) A similar model is preserved at the Museo Civico Amedeo Lia in La Spezia (inv. B187).
