Two statuettes in basswood carved in the round, polychromed and gilded, probably from the same set, representing Saint John the Baptist and a holy reliquary. Saint John the Baptist is pointing with his right index finger to the disc representing the crucifixion lamb, which he is holding with his left hand, covered by a part of his cloak. Molded base. Reliquary saint wearing a mantle with a flap in front; oval face with short hair and bifid beard; reserve for relics on back. Molded terrace with downturned corners. Germany, circa 1380 Total heights 31 cm and 32.3 cm Posterior bases (small accidents and missing parts, old but posterior polychromy)
