Alabaster Virgin of Pity carved in the round with polychrome remains. Seated, the weeping Virgin holds the fringed edge of her veil in her left hand in a gesture of affliction, and holds the bust of her dead Son lying on her lap in her other hand; beautiful pleating of the dress and cloak returning to the knees and spreading out on the ground. Southern Netherlands or Germany, entourage of the Master of the Rimini Altarpiece, circa 1430/1440 H. 21.8 cm - W. 20.5 cm (a few accidents and restorations)
