Rectangular in shape with a panelled lid, it is covered with iron plates decorated with diamond latticework; double hasp lock in the form of pinnacles framing a stylized tree of life encircling a heart; side rings. Southern France or Spain, circa 1500 H. 12.5 cm - W. 11.5 cm - D. 17.5 cm Antique red silk interior sheathing, but of later date (minor accidents)
