Large majolica vase with orange, blue, yellow and green deco - Lot 65
Large majolica vase with orange, blue, yellow and green decoration on a white background, ovoid body and cylindrical neck. On the front, medallion with helmeted man in bust and three-quarter view, accompanied by a vertical ribbon bearing the inscription GRADASO; quartered decoration of foliage scrolls over the entire surface; large cartouche charged with the words Syo de polipodio in Gothic letters; base highlighted with a cordelière. Italy, Faenza, mid-16th century H. 38 cm - D. 26 cm (hair at the bottom, chips at the foot) Two large vases of the same model, one dated 1548, are in the Louvre collection (inv. OA 6330 and OA 8228).
