Arched-shaped kiss of Peace plate in painted polychrome enamel with gold highlights depicting the Virgin and Child on an architectural throne with shell, surrounded by two angels; orange-red counter-enamel in fondant. Limoges, workshop of Pierre Reymond, mid-16th century H. at sight 7.8 cm - W. 6.1 cm Total height 11.8 cm - Total length 6.6 cm In a silver frame with circular base. (Slightly missing and damaged). This is a well-known composition, of which there are several examples in public collections or for sale on the art market. The Louvre shows an identical version, made in the same workshop, but without the angels and with a throne topped by a turquoise shell (inv. OA 4009).
