Rare and important head of an Infant Jesus in ivory carved in the round with traces of red highlights for the lips. Round face with full cheeks, almond-shaped eyes bordered by hemmed eyelids, blunt nose, well-defined mouth and ears, heavy chin. Hispano-Philippine, 17th century H. 9.6 cm - Weight : 494 g (small accidents and missing parts, notably the nose) Typical of the Hispano-Philippine school is the creation of ivory heads and hands for religious figures dressed in vestments.
