Brass-plated iron knurled spur Germany, late 15th century L. 25 cm - W. 8 cm Iron Rowel Spur with Brass Plating Germany, late 15th century L. 9 3/4 in - l. 3 1/8 in 536 CH All-iron brass-plated rowel spur. U-shaped shanks with strong lateral curves, running up the heel and ending in a curved point with a bell-shaped knob. Hooks and a loop for the lanyards were originally attached to the double end rings and the dexter hole. Long, straight stem with almond-shaped cross-section, which seems to emerge from the mouth of a dragon in relief, whose body holds the six-pointed star-shaped knob. Small geometric engraving on the branches, with the spur maker's mark (a sort of half-cap with a large feather) on the dexter heel plate. Bronze patina, surface damage, bent tips at ends
