JUDAICA. - Haggadah Shel Pessah [in Hebrew]. Offenbach on the Main, Stevi Hirsch Spitz Segal [c. 1795]. In-8, 40 leaves, hardback, paper-covered balsa boards (Period binding). Very rare edition of this Pesach Haggadah, printed in Hebrew and German in Hebrew script. It is decorated with 5 woodcuts in the text: 4 scenes illustrating the story of the exit from Egypt, and a contemporary representation of a Seder, showing a German family in 18th-century costumes gathered in a dining room around ritual foods. The Pesach Haggadah is a set of liturgical texts that mark the ritual Seder meal during Passover. Some foxing, small paper tears to binding.
