First edition of the Italian translation, published the same year as the Latin original (Baudrier, t. IX, p. 205; Brun, p. 276).
Illustrated with a large number of handsome woodcut medals in the text, depicting famous men from Adam to Henry II.
Large engraved armorial bookplate, dated 1720, with motto Scientia et virtute. On second flyleaf, glued engraved portrait of Cl. Ant. Topin, physician of Aix.
Title of the first part slightly soiled, marginal and angular wetness on a few leaves, small paper cut in the lower margin of ff. aa2-3 in the second part.
