CORNEILLE (Pierre). Œuvres, with commentaries by Voltaire. Paris, Antoine-Augustin Renouard, 1817. 12 volumes in-8, glazed blond calf, framed with gilded fillet and roulettes, smooth spine decorated with allegorical fleurons, red title-pieces, green tomaison shield applied to a piece of red morocco, interior roulette, marbled edges (Rel. P. Noël). Edition decorated with 2 portraits and 23 engraved figures after Moreau le jeune, except one after Prudhon. A fine copy in a fresh blond calf binding by Noël, a Besançon bookbinder who was an emulator of Derome. Ex-libris and wet stamp of Count Louis de Vaulchier.
