[HENNET (Albert-Joseph-Ulpien). - Lot 176
[HENNET (Albert-Joseph-Ulpien). Rapport présenté à Son Excellence le ministre secrétaire d'État des finances, par le commissaire royal du cadastre. S.l.n.d. [Paris, Imprimerie royale, 1817]. In-4, long-grained red morocco, gilt border, fleur-de-lis at corners, coat-of-arms in center, ornate smooth spine, interior roulette, blue moiré silk lining and endpapers, gilt edges (period binding). First edition, illustrated with a folding plate showing two colored plans. Detailed report on cadastral operations to Count Corvetto, Minister Secretary of State for Finance, written by Hennet and dated November 6, 1817. In addition to costing by department, the report contains a discussion of the advantages of the parcel cadastre over the mass cadastre. A fine copy in morocco with the coat of arms of Louis XVIII (1755-1824), who became King of the French after the fall of Napoleon in 1814, and again from 1815 to 1824 after the Hundred Days. The copy has no title page, as in several copies consulted online. Smudging on one endpaper.
