In-12, red morocco, gilt lace, ornate spine, cream calf lining, gilt filleting inside and gilt motifs with bird's iron at corners, moire endpapers, gilt edges, untrimmed, cover and spine (E. & A. Maylander). First edition of this work dedicated to Gérard d'Houville, Marie de Régnier's pseudonym. One of only 3 copies on chine. A very fine copy in a rich lace-lined binding. From the Charles Hayoit literary library (IV, 2001, n°884).
