Small Ottoman prayer book Ink, pigments and gold on paper, brown leather binding with stamped and gilded floral decoration Ottoman Empire, 18th century 14.5 x 10.5 x 1 cm This small 56-page collection features a compilation of prayers with texts spread over 9 to 11 lines per page, framed in gilded fillets, written in black and red ink and sprinkled with polychrome and gold vignettes. It is presented in an antique binding in red and brown morocco, decorated with mandorles and arabesques stamped in two golds. The mikleb flap has been glued to one of the binding covers.
