This folio is the first page of a section (juz) of the Qur'an, written in Bihari script and spread over nine lines. A Persian translation is inscribed in the red line spaces. The margins feature numerous comments in red and black ink, as well as an illuminated marginal vignette (indicating the juz). A header cartouche is inscribed in white on a background of gold and scroll semis. (Koran 78:1 to 22).
