Anthropomorphic bell, Kingdom of Ijebu Nigeria Copper H. 24 cm Provenance: - Former Pierre Amrouche collection, France/Togo The bell is anthropomorphic. A thin helmet, decorated with an incised grid motif, covers the top and back of the head. A handle is attached to the top of the head. The overall artistic quality of the object makes it a fine example of Ijebu art.
